Skywatch® BL-1000 - Bluetooth® weather station with wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, tracking and data logger with alarm function
The Skywatch BL-1000 is a rugged portable weather station designed for rapid deployment. It has been developed by and for professionals who need to measure and document local weather conditions, such as firefighters, incident responders, police, outdoor exhibitions, stage operators, construction companies and agriculture.
The Skywatch BL-1000 is a complete weather station that provides accurate measurements of wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity and barometric pressure, and transmits them to a dedicated smartphone application and secure data warehouse.
The BL-1000 is capable of storing data locally on an iOS™ or Android™ smartphone or tablet, and transferring measurements to Weathercloud with map visualisation. Data can subsequently be extracted from the map to a CSV file (comma separated variable file) for later processing evaluation.

The Skywatch® BL1000 application has been designed for quick and easy use and clear operation. Once installed on the device, simply switch on the Skywatch® BL1000 and the connection is already established. Thanks to Bluetooth, prolonged pairing attempts are a thing of the past. The status of the Skywatch® BL1000 is indicated by a blue light at the base of the device.
Depending on the configuration, the application offers several options for weather monitoring.
The menus are in French, German or English (selected according to the language settings on the smartphone or tablet).
Visual monitoring of live measurements
The summary screen shows all the important data at a glance. This makes it easy to check measured values simply by looking at the display.
In addition to the measurements, the summary screen also shows:

Historical data stored on the smartphone
By pressing one of the quadrants on the screen, you can display the measurement data history of the individual sensors (wind speed, temperature, air humidity and air pressure).
Average, minimum and maximum values are recorded with dotted lines. The period for which measured data remains visible as a line graph can be set from 10 seconds to 6 hours. Line graphs can be scaled to take a closer look at specific measurement points.
Two adjustable wind speed alarm levels
The Skywatch® Guard Android™ APP is equipped with two wind speed alarms: warning and danger.
In addition, it is possible to define a normal wind speed which cancels alarms if the wind speed falls below a defined level (if the normal wind speed is not defined, any alarm created will continue until it is manually cancelled).
The two wind speeds at which the alarm is to be triggered can be freely defined in the settings in metres per second.
Data recording and tracking function
The logging function can be easily activated and deactivated in the top right-hand corner by activating the red logging button. The measurement interval is set to 1 second. As long as the logging function is enabled, the measured data is averaged every 10 seconds and then stored in a local log file on the mobile device. To track movement, the application accesses the GPS data available in almost all smart devices.
If Internet access is temporarily unavailable, measurements are stored locally until they can be uploaded to the server.
Online data stored on the Weathercloud map server
Skywatch® BL1000 offers even more: create a free password-protected account at Weathercloud. If the application has an Internet connection, your current measurement data will be uploaded to the server and can be viewed on the map, viewed and downloaded as a CSV file (data separated by commas).
This allows control centres to monitor several spatially separate measurement stations.

The Skywatch® BL1000 is supplied in a sturdy carrying case, offering secure storage in a foam-lined enclosure for easy assembly and disassembly.
