The company CombaGroup had the problem of automating the management of lettuce cultivation according to the evolution of their size and the need for water. It therefore needed to create a mechanical and computer system to cultivate the lettuces using a support system by increasing their distance depending on growth.

JDC Electronic SA's work

JDC Electronic SA used a perforated metal band to move the shuttles into the gutters containing the growing lettuces. Its work also consisted of developing the robotisation of the movements of the cells containing the lettuces.
